Annabel Cropper is an artist and designer, living and working in Christchurch, New Zealand


I am interested in the transformation of two-dimensional shapes into three-dimensional objects. I collect folded objects often discarded and unfold them to reveal the underlying shape. I construct my own imagined discarded shape which is then folded to become both sculpture and spatial divider. They are architectural fragments: wall, corner and alcove and scaffolds for the detritus of everyday life.
